And the highlight of the night: the SYNdESIS drum line will join forces on stage with KROTALARTA for a powerful rudimental drumming performance that promises pure rhythmic energy.
Who Are KROTALARTA?
KrotalArta is a distinctive percussion group founded by modern and traditional percussion instructor Giorgos Georgiou. Since its creation in 2006, the ensemble has consistently proven that percussion alone can form a complete musical universe — original, vibrant, and unmistakably their own.
Their repertoire features original compositions that blend Latin, rock, and funk rhythmic elements with Greek traditional rhythms, creating a unique sonic identity.
Their instrumentation is just as diverse:
- drum set components (snares, toms),
- traditional percussion (daoulia, doumbeks, defi),
- and unconventional sound sources such as trash cans, clay pots, and brooms.
They also incorporate body percussion and vocal elements, adding theatricality and movement to their performances.
Collaborations & Performances
KROTALARTA have shared the stage with major names of the Greek music scene, including: Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Sokratis Malamas, Chainides, Matoula Zamani, Pagan, Ioulia Karapataki, and Gidiki.
